Phil Jackson on how the New Orleans Hornets stuck Bobby Jackson on Kobe Bryant in last week's road matchup:
"He was very animated on the bench, saying, `I want to post up,' Phil Jackson said. "I said we've got isolations for him. No, he wanted to post up and take advantage of (Jackson). So we used a sequence in our offense to run post-ups for him. They double-teamed him and he got some kickouts to Jordan (Farmar) for some 3s."
Later, Jackson and Bryant discussed the situation further.
"I said tongue-in-cheek that when we have a mismatch we want to take advantage of it," Jackson said. "He said, `I have a mismatch every game."'
"I thought he was at the state fair or something trying to win a stuffed animal,"
~Detroit Pistons coach Flip Saunders, who said he never remembered one of his teams taking so many 3s, was especially upset at Richard Hamilton's 2 of 9 shooting from 3 against upset-minded Charlotte, tonight.
